Yotoden is 3 episode straight to video OVA which has been given different title over the years including Sengoku Kitan, Yotoden Wrath of the Ninja, Wrath of the Ninja - The Yotoden Chronicles, Yotoden: Chronicle of the Warlord Period and Legend of the Enchanted Swords. Yֳ…ֲtֳ…ֲden is based around the historical figure of Oda Nobunaga. In the anime he is the governor of a small region like Owari who turns out to be a Demon Warlord with a host of Demons at his disposal which he sends out to slay all who stand in the way of his ambitions of conquest. Some of these unfortunate souls are the inhabitants of Kasumi village. A young ninja calledAyanosuke (Ayame) Hayami was the soul survivor managing to escape with a short sword, one of the three mystical weapons that can end Oda's rule. During her quest for venegence, she is joined by two other ninjas who wield the other two weapons of legend, the sacred sword and spear.
